my submission for the life matters coffin design as a lead up to the live drawing session to be held next month.

completed the illustration, design and theme copy for l’oreal maybelline’s exclusive compact gift pack with pouch giveaway. the theme i came up with was “talk of the town” to align with maybelline new york’s penchant for city style and also to allow me to introduce speech bubbles as part of the illustration pattern. props to avril and jerraine from maybelline for being absolute delights to work with.

the design was also featured in the straits times, singapore’s national newspaper as part of a series of makeup products using illustrations.

and as stories go, my mom did tell me that the first time she caught me doodling was when i was barely two. i decided then to introduce her lipstick to her bedroom wall. ironic that the association with makeup would resurface.

chasing dreams: the remaking of tiong bahru exhibition

was invited to contribute a couple of collab pieces with photographer edwin tan. the theme is the refurbishment of the old tiong bahru estate. organized by orange thimble cafe and flab slab, photographers were asked to capture scenes in black and white and visual artists add color with their illustrations. more photos of the event here.

my collaboration with singpost has hit the stores (see list below). available under singpost’s enveloopy gift series inspired by mail themes, the wanton doodle collaboration is the first of its kind with a local artist. i created hermes, the carrier pigeon character for this collaboration. props to peggy, doris and team for being such an amazing bunch to work with. you may purchase the items at the singpost roadshows going on from now till xmas or go to the vpost online shop.
