coat of charms (dragon) – an interactive piece where you decide your name and motto to go with your sigil and protector, the dragon.
everybody hates me (guess i’ll go eat worms) – inspired by warhol’s 32 campbell soup cans and the popular campfire song.
was invited to contribute a couple of collab pieces with photographer edwin tan. the theme is the refurbishment of the old tiong bahru estate. organized by orange thimble cafe and flab slab, photographers were asked to capture scenes in black and white and visual artists add color with their illustrations. more photos of the event here.
selected as one of 10 artists for an exhibition entitled “undiscovered” curated by raw art at the gallery @ old school. very pleased cos 3 of 5 pieces were sold and named most popular artist. click here for all the photos.
had barrels of fun sharing with budding illustrators on the abundant possibilities of illustration. the participants even had their works showcased at the national library for over a month and we all went hog-wild doodling up a 17 metre-wide mural. major thanks to national arts council and national arts library for the opportunity. more photos here.
